Michelle Howard

Michelle Howard is currently pursuing her second master's degree in geography while living with her family in Cataldo, Idaho.  She will be performing research on sediment in the Puget Sound and how it can be identified using satellite imagery.

Arjan Meddens

Arjan Meddens, a PhD student in Environmental Sciences, is specialized in remote sensing and forest ecology.  He is currently working on remote detection of insect defoliation on multiple scales.  He is interested in the impacts of forest disturbance on local to global scales and the dynamics of forest ecosystem functioning in the light of natural processes, climate change, and other anthropogenic impacts.
